Sedona Spiritual Retreat Focuses on Personal Growth and Intuitive Development

I have been to the transcendentally beautiful Sedona hundreds of times during my many years living in Arizona.  The wonders of the monolithic structures such as Coffee Pot, Bell Rock, Chimney Rock, Cathedral Rock and the stunning Boynton Canyon, for starters, blow your mind.  Staying in lodge pole cabins and fishing the streams of Oak Creek Canyon, or visiting the Sedona vortex sites while bopping along back roads in the Pink Jeep tours are engraved in my memory.

So too are the yummy Mexican restaurants; the mouthwatering scent of sizzling steaks, "cowboy" beans and sweet corn roasting on native mesquite wood campfires along the Oak Creek that tantalize you into near insensibility. There is a spectacular homemade fudge shop on the main street; gift and collectibles shops; western and native wear; crystal and metaphysical stores that fascinate and delight.   The Chapel of the Holy Cross is an architectural masterpiece built right into the red rocks of Sedona.

Unforgettable live concerts performed by local musicians are held in the center of the mall of  the incomparable Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village in front of a fabulous ice cream shop.  You can spend hours strolling around and investigating stunning western art, hand made silver and turquoise jewelry, hand crafted leather goods and so much more.

There is a deeply meaningful focus upon the spiritual, mystical and native cultures that have existed there for centuries and formed the spiritual consciousness in this area of Northern Arizona.  The magic, literally, is in the air.  Every time I visited Sedona, I felt somehow altered by the energies of natural beauty and the healing "vibes" of such an incredibly special place on God's earth.  If you like to wander further, a short trip by car takes you to the old mining ghost town of Jerome.  A drive north to Flagstaff and on to the spectacular Grand Canyon is irresistible. The area is a mother lode of total awesomeness.

This article Sedona Spiritual Retreat Focuses on Personal Growth and Intuitive Development speaks of the mystical, metaphysical, certainly beyond understanding at times, magic that fosters personal growth and intuitive development by such healers as Nirup.  Here is an excerpt from this story:

"Nirup encourages women to share and support each other. She adds, "For the past 22 years I have guided and supported thousands of people. It has been and continues to be my passion and calling to help people take the steps needed to go deeper into themselves, understand why they are here, and how to make a deeper connection to God/Source/Spirit, and then help them discover how to best contribute to those around them and to the world."

"Nirup chose Sedona as the location of her retreat for a number of compelling reasons. Known as a place of awe inspiring beauty, where many people come to be nurtured and supported by the powerful energy of the red rocks, Nirup explains that Sedona can accelerate the growth, awakening, and healing process. She notes, "People come here from all over the world for rest, rejuvenation, and to take time to go inward, to their deeper part of themselves to search and seek into deeper meaning about their lives. They may be looking for direction, answers, and connections to their spiritual selves, or find answers and directions to everyday issues or decisions that need to be made."

If you have never been to Sedona, Arizona, and plan a trip to the American Southwest, please do yourself the favor of a lifetime by visiting this community of amazing, incredible people and awe inspiring natural wonders.  Bring your cameras and cool, comfortable clothing plus sturdy shoes because you may want to hike the canyons,   climb Bell Rock or just plain feast on the beauty that surrounds you.  I know, I know, I am raving on about this Masterpiece of Nature.

For women who are seeking a retreat to discover your "inner" self, this is most definitely the place to do so. I have done many workshops there with various healers over the years which have contributed mightily to my own spiritual evolution.   Here is a starting point:  Sedona Spiritual Retreat Focuses on Personal Growth and Intuitive Development.

  1. By seeking a retreat we remove ourselves from the environment where these patterns have been engrained and are causing us to feel "stuck." Spiritual retreats can help us gain tools to release those things that make us feel confined. The soul is free and we always have a choice. Having the courage to make the change it might require to be happy is sometimes the biggest challenge.
