Harold Camping's May 21 'doomsday' prompts suicide...

This is strong insight into what this "prophet's" predictions for "The Rapture" have wrought for some of his followers:

"Harold Camping preached that on 6:00 pm,  May 21, God's chosen people will be raptured but those left behind on earth will suffer from catasclymic disasters that will culminate in the ultimate destruction of the world on October 21, 2011".

"According to Russia's state-owned news agency, RIA, Novosti, the girl reportedly hanged herself out of fear of Camping's prediction... Lyudmila, the mother,  told Lifenews "She took this date too close to heart."


 From a Biblical perspective, some might view this man as a "false prophet".  From a Karmic perspective,  spiritual irresponsibility  is a lot to answer for now or later.

Harold Camping 'flabbergasted'; Rapture a no-show

No doubt this no show rapture has disappointed a number of Mr. Camping's followers.  Read their views in this very interesting, somewhat inflammatory, and reactionary article.  


"It has been a really tough weekend," said Harold Camping, the 89-year-old fundamentalist radio preacher who convinced hundreds of his followers that the rapture would occur on Saturday at 6 p.m".

I certainly do agree that "the constant is love".  It will be interesting to see what Mr. Camping predicts next for the Rapture.
